Information concerning loss of Uffz. Hanns Röder - bomber squadron - killed 27.06.1942

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the loss of Uffz. Hanns Röder who was part of a bomber squadron and was killed on the 27th June 1942.

He was just 22 years of age.

from GQM loss return 30 Jun 1942 item 52:
27.6.42 IV./KG 30 no operational flight, crash near Hannover, Ju 88 WNr. 0608 100%.

Hello Rick,

according to ww2.dk/air/kampf/kg30.htm the IV./KG 30 was formed on 27 Oct 1940 as Ergänzungsstaffel/KG 30. In April 1941 this unit increased to Gruppe with
Stab IV./KG 30 new
10./KG 30 from Erg.Sta./KG 30
11./KG 30 new and
12./KG 30 new.
