Japanese Rabaul Aerial Combat Footage
Hi guys
Here is a Japanese wartime propaganda movie that includes footage of Zero fighters in action against Allied bombers and fighters over Rabaul in February 1944. It is somewhat unusual to see the view from the other perspective and the images of the Zero fighters scrambling as well as the attacking Allied aircraft are quite interesting. http://cgi2.nhk.or.jp/shogenarchives...seg_number=001 Horrido! Re: Japanese Rabaul Aerial Combat Footage
It is interesting to see the mixture of Zero sub-types, 52s, 32s and even a 21 ! It is also interesting to see the B-24s, SBDs and the low level attacks by the B-25s. At the end, it appears that they claim 69 on their chalk-board? !!! Impressive! But, I don't think so!
