1.(F)/123 loss on 22.09.39
Hi Melvin,
sorry that I had hijacked this thread but concerning 1.(F)/123 loss on 22.9.39 I have a report of OKW that on 23.9.39 one Do 17P returned damaged after combat with Potez 631. Are you sure about 22.9.? There is also a report of Koluft AOK5 that a German recon aircraft returned with many 2-cm and machine-gun hits on 28.9.39 ( 2.(F)/22 was subordinated to AOK5 in September 1939). Regards Robert |

Re: 1.(F)/123 loss on 22.09.39
Hi Robert,
All I have to confirm the date of the 22.09 is a copied page from the original 1./(F)123 Staffelalbum. Regards, Melvin www.aircrewremembrancesociety.co.uk Last edited by Melvin Brownless; 24th October 2014 at 14:32. |

Aha, so it could be in afternoon of 22.9.39. This accident was reported in the next morning and listed under 23.9.39 (each unit was sending two daily reports - morning around 06.00-08.00 hrs and afternoon 16.00-18.00 hrs).
