Re: Heinkel He111 1G+BA loss details?
I've found only a short info about pilot, which flew He 111 1G+BA in KG 27 but no details about crash landing.

Re: Heinkel He111 1G+BA loss details?
I cannot see the photos any more, because the auction has been ended. However, if the code is 1G+PA, we have this:
1941-06-22, Stabsst./KG 27, He 111H-2, 5476, 1G+PA, Liteni-Tuderesti, 20 km südwestlich Botosani/Rumänien, Notlandung um 04.50 Uhr infolge M.G.-Beschuß. Bruch 30 %. Flugzeugführer Lt Krems, Gerhard, verletzt Beobachter Olt Klatt Or perhaps there is a typo in NVM and 1G+BA is correct? Matti |

Re: Heinkel He111 1G+BA loss details?
Hello Matti,
the photographs are still there. You have to scroll down. It's 1G+BA. To me it looks like a hit on the ground by another a/c, because of the unusual damage of the tail. rgds, Bf 110

Re: Heinkel He111 1G+BA loss details?
Hi
Thanks to everyone on their comments so far. I agree that it does look like a ground incident. The He111 has tarp covering the gun position, so may have been stationary when hit by another aircraft. I would imagine the damage is though still sufficient enough to have been recorded. regards Ian |

Re: Heinkel He111 1G+BA loss details?
Hello,
I can also confirm that this is 1G+BA, which is also clear from other photos of this incident. This appears to me to be Western Campaign of May-June, 1940, and I concur that it looks like something collided with the tail of this a/c. This would like be the a/c of the Geschwader Adjutant of Stab KG27. Anybody know who this was in mid-1940? There is probably some kind of insignia on the nose of this a/c. Regards, |

Then possibly this:
1940-03-07, Stabsst./KG 27, He 111H, Fl.Pl. Münster-Handorf, Gerammt von He 111H-2. Bruch 18 %. 1940-03-07, 1.(F)/121, He 111H-2, Fl.Pl. Münster-Handorf, Bei Landung ausgebrochen und Zusammenstoß mit He 111H. Bruch 45 %. Matti |
