I do not know enough about RAF Mustangs, but as they were built in the US, they should have US part stamps and in some cases, if the aircraft was damaged, could have had replacement parts from a later model Mustang.
The same can ne said about older parts in newer Mustangs. We found a part label with P-51B on it, but the aircraft was a P-15D. The part was produced in such large numbers that leftover stock was put into later variants. |

Hello,
what headstamp is on the .50BMG cartridges? Most of the .50BMG for the RAF was US-Brand!!! Also the tipp colours for the Bullets are ever different then US-Made! h. |
