Three 48 Fighter Group pilots

Would anyone be able to provide the first names and serial numbers for two pilots plus the serial number for a third flier? All were assigned to the 492 Fighter Squadron in April of 1945. I have been through all the squadron and group records but cannot find the missing details. Thank you.

Lt. Alton B. Bjurnquist
Lt. ????? Butler (flew 1 mission before VE-Day)
Lt. ????? Wesley (flew 1 mission before VE Day)

Re: Three 48 Fighter Group pilots

Kent,

Alton B. Bjurnquist may be read as Alton H. Bjurquist instead: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...bert-bjurquist
His ASN was 17143126 upon enlistment on 23 Nov 1942. His O-number?

Regards,
Leendert

Leendert,

Thank you very much for the lead on his name--I am sure that is him. I will try to find his officer serial number based on his correct name and see what may pop up.

One other possible information source might be the current 492nd Fighter Squadron, 48th Fighter Wing, which operates F-15E from RAF Lakenheath.
