Needing determination on faded German wording - Me109

Hi guys,

This is the labelling on an Me109G main breaker panel (in cockpit). I am trying to determine EXACTLY what is written, as unfortunatly most of the wording has faded away.

Appears to be:

Generator

Kenniichter

????.......fund Kraftstoff
Herz - Hand...???...-Komp

???......Rev Kraftstoff
vorr...???

?????

Abwurfwaffe
??Werferanle...??

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi,

Perhaps this sheet may help you:

Perhaps try to find the proper instrument based on the instruments 'Fl' code, this is a good site for such search, highly recommended:

http://www.cockpitinstrumente.de/index.htm

Unfortunately, I cannot help you more on the matter..

- Generator
- Kennlichter (position lights)
- Werferanlage (possible for the Werfergranate 21)

Heiz (ung) not heRz refers to the heater controls

Kraftstoff is the fuel

Abwurfwaffe not waNNe is the bomb or drop tank release switch.
The Werferanlage is also presumably part of the bomb/tank release system.

I'll have to look more closely at the rest although the word before Rev kraftstoff appears to be "führ.."

Well it took me a few minutes with my original foto of the PoF Bf 109G-10 cockpit and the Bf 109G electrical manual to figure what was on the Selbstschalterbrett. This is what I'm fairly sure it said originally:

A41
Generator

A9
Kennlichter (Nav-lights)

A14
An.Zündung, V-Luftschr. Starter Magneto Propeller Pitch
Heiz-Hand, F-Komp Heating for Glove (and Suit), Master Compass
Fahrw, Revi, Kraftstoff- Landing Gear, Revi, Fuel-
Vorr-Temp Messung quantity and Temp Monitoring

A11
Wendehorizont Turn & bank art. Horizon
Gerätebeleuchtung Cockpit lighting
Staurohr, MW50 Pitot (Heat), MW50 system

A12
Abwurfwaffe Bomb arming system
(Werferanlage) Rocket installation (21cm BR)
