Hptmn. Heinz WAGNER of 4/ZG76

Friends. I am very interested in trying to obtain any info / photos of Hptmn. Heinz WAGNER. He was K.I.A. at the hands of 242sqn. Willie McKnight, Ponders End, Enfield, London on Aug 30th 1940. I understand he was from Dresden-Klotsche. He flew a Me110 M8+BM of 4/ZG76. any info however trivial would be MOST WELCOME. With many thanks......Jeff WEYERS

Re: Hptmn. Heinz WAGNER of 4/ZG76

A search of our files reveals only the following about this guy:

WAGNER, Heinz.
16.05.40 Hptm., Staka 4./ZG 76.
30.08.40 Hptm., Staka 4./ZG 76 KIA (Bf 110, M8+BM) shot down by 242 Sqdn. crashed at Enfield Sewage Farm, Wharf Road, Ponders End, Enfield.

I recall that there are some photos and comments about this crash in "The Blitz, Then and Now" and/or "The Battle of Britain, Then and Now" by After the Battle.

We hope this helps.
