Legion Condor pilot query

Hi all

I am interested to find out more about one of the pilots of He 111s who flew with Legion Condor in Spain. His name should be Marquardt, possibly given name Egon. Later on he should fly Me 410 at ZG 76.
Can anyone confirm this name, and write more about the person ?
Thanks for any info!!!

Re: Legion Condor pilot query

I have searched our database and cannot find any Marquardt by any first name who had served in Spain or was later associated with ZG type units. That doesn't mean that there weren't any, only that there was no one by that name who eventually had sufficient rank or held a position that we have yet found known to have served in Spain.

Sorry!

Re: Legion Condor pilot query

Thanks Doug.

I associated it later on, and it must be this man:
Marquardt Egon Ofw.
Born May 5, 1915 in Berlin
KIA 22.03.1945 with 9./JG 54

Can anyone say more to his career? And confirm that he was with Legion Condor? Early date of birth so it seems possible...
Thanks
