Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Post #1029: the He 111 looks like it has the code 6N+K_, if so it's from KGr. 100. Also it seems to have both a W.Nr. and four letters (possibly CF__) on the fin.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Marc, posts #1021 and #1022 show same TS+MB, but another with TS+MB altered as TS+Me is third in same row. What happened to third I saw one is a mystery. Does not appear now. Gone to the Trolls possibly. Sorry.

No problems, EdNorth; all opinions can and should be expressed

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Thanks for those, Snautzer.

The first pic might well show "Schwarze 10", an Erla built Bf 109 G-10 from 2./JG 4 found at the outskirts of Giessen.

The second photo does show a Siebel 204, not a Bf 109, as said by the seller.

Cheers
Marc

Hello,

Possibly, 6./KG 100 He 111 H-6 (W.Nr.7074) 6N+KJ, that made a low-level strafing attack on troops and trucks on the Sidi Barrani-El Daba Road on 23 June, 1942. The pilot, Ltn Bruno Stange, and his Beobachter, Uffz Josef Steffen, were both injured by return fire.

Col.
