Re: Michael Suckling's PRU Spitfire

Gents;'

Does anyone know the serial for the PRU Spitfire Suckling was flying when he photographed Bismarck and Prinz Eugen at Bergen? If so, and you are willing to share, it would help me out.

Thanks!

Mark

Hi Mark,

P/O M.F. Suckling was flying Spitfire (X4496) on his 21May41 sortie.

Best Regards

Re: Michael Suckling's PRU Spitfire

I can confirm that Suckling was indeed flying R6903 on 21Jul41. It was a Spitfire I PR Type C.

Best regards
