Hi,
can anyone help and supply me with the claims ( claimant; date; e/a type and location) of 1435 Squadron during the period 1943 -1945 please.

Hi Bruce,

Have you consulted 'Spitfires over Sicily'? It records all 1435 Sqn claims from January to August 1943.

Additionally, F/Lt (later W/C) Warren Edward 'Smoky' Schrader (RNZAF) made his initial claims with this unit:

17/12/43: 2 Bf 109G

3/1/44: 1/2 Bf 109G

thanks, I have got "Spitfires Over Sicily", Brian Cull is a close friend . I have now got the info I was after on 1435 Sq.

Hi chaps,

I have Taylor's victory as being scored on 5.5.1944 rather than 9.5.1944 and a Do217 destroyed by FS FWT Read and FS JT Gunn. No locations.

I also have a Ju88 destroyed by FS FWT Read and PO SC Stephens on 26 July 1944. Again no location.

I think Taylor's victim on 5.5.44 was Oblt.Rudolf Scholl in a Bf.109G-5 of 1./NAGr.12 lost NE Bari.
