Re: Arado Ar 96T (ex. Ar 96B) Aircraft carrier trainer

Hello,
The Ar 96 T CD+OA left Vicenza, Italy, for Travemünde via München-Riem on 07/03/43.

Thanks Eric

A very awkward date since the aircraft is still mentioned in Italian docs as late as 31 March.
I take it you have taken the data from a Flugbuch?

Cheers

Only the final report for those test flights in Italy, which took place at Grosseto according to the Flugbuch Königs and not at Perugia, was dated 31.03.43.

So we are actually only talking about a report and not an actual flight in Italy on 31 March, is that correct, or did König actually make a flight at Grosseto at that date? If yes, it then means the aircraft returned to Italy once more, or?

Cheers

Hello,

According to König's FB, Tests took place with CD+OA from Perugia from 25/02 to 02/03/43.
Last entry for CD+OA in this FB is for 3 Bremslandungen on 29/03/43 from Travemünde.
