Re: 12.(See)/SG 151

Thanks Doug

Dropping Karl Kennel from IV./SG 151 makes a lot of sense.
Of course I rely heavily on the details for II./SG 2 being correct.

II./SG 2
Heinz Frank obviously needed a rest and was replaced by Kennel (29 July 1944)

I./SG 152
Kennel was in command and was replaced by Frank. When I./SG 152 became IV./SG 151, Frank stayed with the unit and remained in command.

Cheers
Stig

Re: 12.(See)/SG 151

Hi all,

is it known if 12.(See)/SG 151 flew operational missions from Rahmel, Lübeck-Blankensee and Grossenbrode? Like some other Staffeln from SG 151 did on the Eastern and Western Front.

Besides possible operational missions was there a lot of flying activities (training missions) for 12.(See)/SG 151? I am wondering because the Staffel was active until the capitulation and not dissolved like other SG 151 Gruppen/ Staffeln.

Thanks in advance and best regards

Michael

If they had no fuel or bombs in mid-February (see post #5 above) then I doubt their position improved much in the last weeks of the war as those things became ever scarcer. Some deliveries of these items are not impossible of course but this was a time when even first-line units could not rely on getting supplies.
