Unit history of KG 4, for 1944?

Is there a unit history for Kampfgeschwader KG 4? I am particularly interested in the August-December 1944 time period.

Re: Unit history of KG 4, for 1944?

Hello,

I'm sure you already know but there is an old book on KG 4 written by Karl Gundelach and published by Motorbuch Verlag. It is from1978, so maybe a little old.

Regards,

Christian

In the August-December 1944 time period, it was: "dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge."

Thanks, Larry, for the hint. However, I do have all four books in this excellent series.
What I am looking for is a much more detailed activity report of the Gruppen of this KG flying on the Eastern Front, between Aug.-Dec. 1944.

Hi Dénes,

I don't recall seeing anything detailing KG 4's activities over the Balkans at the level that you want. There a mention or two in the OB Suedost KTB und Anlagen, but nothing in detail. I seem to recall that BA-MA's holdings on KG 4 was fairly large, but this material may all be for the earlier part of the war. I wish I had more and better information for you!
