Ju 87 crash, 4 November 1944

According to an history of the air attacks on Tyrol (http://www.landesmuseum.at/pdf_frei_..._0555-0581.pdf), on 4 November 1944 a Ju 87 flying to Italy crashed on Zillergrund, a mountain in Tyrol, Austria. Both crew were saved.

With no crew casualty, there are few chances that this loss is listed in existing sources, but if someone has more details about this crash, I will be interested.

This aircraft was probably flying to join NSGr 9. I checked "Air War over Italy", but it is not listed here.

Re: Ju 87 crash, 4 November 1944

NSG 9 lost a Ju 87 in an accident south of Villafranca on that date but I don't know of any ferrying losses outside Italy, unfortunately. Can't check the Volksbund either, if both crew were saved.

P.S. If you actually meant "Air War over Italy" that's a book by Andrew Brooks; I can only speak for "Air War Italy 1944–45"!

Sorry, Nick, it was actually your book "Air War Italy 1944–45" I checked, as you guessed.
