Re: Swordfish Identity
Hello,
If we only concentrate on early December 1940. These come to light. P4253, 818 Sqn, 11th, collision with K8566(?). L2748, 812 Sqn, 12th, Mine laying Brest. K5959, 767 Sqn 15th, but crashed UK. K8866, 830 Sqn 13th, lost in attack on Tripoli Harbour. Alex |

Re: Swordfish Identity
Well, since the writing is in Italian, I would guess it's K8866, 830 Sq., lost on December 13,1940.

Re: Swordfish Identity
Hello,
Not sure, "K8566" , this was a Singapore III that was written off in 38/39 ? So would not think it could have been in collision with P4253 . Possible though that K8866 was in collision with P4253 a day or so before its loss on the 13th ? Alex |
