F/O Kenneth Cockram

Ken Cockram passed away on 7th June following a short illness.

He trained in Rhodesia and had a spell with 73 OTU in Egypt, he flew Curtiss Kittyhawks with 112 'Shark' Squadron from the Western Desert on anti-shipping and fighter patrols, on one occasion crashing his aircraft on take-off during a dust storm. In late 1944 he moved to no. 26 Sqn (Anti Aircraft Cooperation Unit) flying Spitfires over Europe, completing a total of 198 operations.

A gentleman who will be sadly missed.
