Looking for Gunter Wendt family (JG101)

On 8/8/43, the Ar96 WNr.4356, a Ar96B-3 Stkz DQ+YD was lost in a crash in a village named Jarret, near Lourdes in the south west of France.

Its pilot, Ofw Günter Wendt was killed.

His family came in this village in the 70's, looking for some data or information, but they were told that "there was nothing" so they went back.

Can anybody help me trace them or contact them ?

have a nice Christmas time and thanks in advance.

GC

I suggest you use the phone book: www.dastelefonbuch.de

A search on Wendt in Wittenberge gives only three results. I would write a letter to all three addresses.

Re: Looking for Gunter Wendt family (JG101)

You are welcome. I recently located two people from a bomber crew using that "shotgun" approach, so I know it works.

Good luck and a nice end of 2010 to you as well!
