Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source

Thanks to Tomas Prusa, over on "Bf 109 from Anton to Toni" Group, FB, we have here a great addition of five new late war Bf 109's:

1. Danzig-Langfuhr, with in the background a 1./JG 51 Bf 109 G-14

2. Four new shots from the Johannistal - Adlerhof airfield in the eastern Berlin suburbs, with its bonanza of elderly Erla (W.Nr. 410 285 and 412 865), WNF ( W.Nr. 20 548) and MWG Györ (W.Nr. 760 070) built Bf 109 G-6's just after refurbishing...and already abandoned.

3. A new photo fo the wrecked WNF built Bf 109 G-10 from the II./JG 52 Gruppenkommandeur, possibly found at Raudnitz in April 1945.

New this pictures are not --- already in the 70ties or 80ties were published in the GDR-magazine NBI ("Neue Berliner Illustrierte").

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source

Hi there folks,

A new pic has emerged from this odd Bf 109 G-6/AS surrounded by RCAF personal :
http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...in/dateposted/

IT is still surmised this plane might have been found at Pau, France and might have been a 6./JG 11 machine. Any other information, confirmation/correction available ?

Cheers
Marc

A highly interesting Bf 109 K-4 - possibly W.Nr. 330 442 - with Stab markings from an unknown unit can be seen here.

With thanks to Kees Mol for the pointer and to cenkul.sk who posted those two shots on modelforum.cz.

Notice also the small white triangle atop of the rudder ; this marking is without known significance so far. Here a file with all known exemples, seen on Bf 109 G-6's and G-14's so far:

small white triangle atop? Why can I see the building behind the rudder? For me it is broken?!

Thanks for these great photos!

W.Nr. is 335442, and as Falcon said, rudder is indeed broken, not painted with a triangle
