Uffz. Ludwig Stürmer, 4./JG 51

Has anybody got details concerning the loss of Uffz. Ludwig Stürmer from 4./JG51, who was shot down in combat near Sofia and posted missing in May 1944 ? Any input would be gratefully appreciated.

Matti,
Are you sure about the date 06-06-1944 because there was an Uffz. Adolf Stürmer of 8.NJG 1 KIA 06-06-1944 near Schiermonninoog (Holland) and buried Ysselsteyn AR-1-7.

Yes. Stürmer is not very common surname and I know only one Ludwig and one Adolf. There were at least 5 other Stürmer involved in the aircraft losses of Luftwaffe.

1944-06-06, 8./NJG 1, Bf 110 G-4, 440272, G9+NS, Insel Schiermonikoog
Flugzeugführer Uffz Stürmer, Adolf, +
Bordfunker Uffz Serwein, Ludwig, +
Bordmechaniker Gefr Morath, Otto, +
Absturz nach Luftkampf. Bruch 100 %.
