Friedrich Rupp
There is so little information about Friedrich Rupp available on the Internet... Just these two sites: http://www.luftwaffe.cz/rupp.html and http://en.ww2awards.com/person/26148, and Wikipedia.
Does anyone happen to know anything more about him? Have you come across anything about his personal life (was he married, etc.)? :-) Thank you is advance. |

Re: Friedrich Rupp
Dear Doug,
Thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately, this is not exactly the information I was looking for. It may be weird, but I am mainly interested in the personal lives of fighter pilots, that's why I asked whether Friedrich Rupp had been married. :-) Most biographies only describe aces' military careers, but somehow I'm interested in more personal details (by which, of course, I don't mean poking my nose into things that are too intimate). :-) Best regards, Teresa. I see you are a Super Moderator and I hope you won't suspend me from the forum. I'm only interested in things that might just as well appear in a printed biography, definitely not in gossip.

Re: Friedrich Rupp
I was just teasing Teresa. Miss Piggy would certainly ask about intimate details!

Re: Friedrich Rupp
I see... But, anyway, do you happen to know whether Friedrich Rupp was married?

Re: Friedrich Rupp
Holá Teresa,
seems that there is less interest or knowledge on your special subject "the private and family life of german fighter pilots in WW II". I think I can shed some light into this almost unknown issue. However it would be limited to JG 54 pilots. If you are interested, send me a p.m. Horst

Re: Friedrich Rupp
Unfortunately, Friedrich seems to have actually been married. Here is a screenshot from ancestry.com. (Actually, it's in a separate post.)
I'm broken-hearted and I wonder what to do with so much excess love which I need to place in someone. I can't love Friedrich any more. A friend has suggested that I should volunteer to help in a hospice, but I don't have time. Most of the time, I'm snowed under. :-( |
