Lw. Transport units in Russia summer 1943

Working on summer 1943 Lw. ops in Russia I must admit that I have very little information on transport units. The only logbook I have is from 1./T.G. 3. See here -
http://yogysoft.de/pawel/_kursk/unit...ransporter.pdf

Anyone who can help with further logbooks from transport units for July-August 1943?

best regards,
Pawel

Here are some pages for that period taken from a Flugbuch although it is another example from TG-3, this time 12 Staffel. I have only included a scan of the right hand page where there are comments written.

Interestingly in the file I've got some time ago from Matti Salonen there is Ju 52 coded 4V+GW listed as lost by 9./T.G. 3.

Re: Lw. Transport units in Russia summer 1943

While IV./TG 3 was in Italy, it seems like III./TG 3 was divided part of the time with some of its Staffeln in S Russia and the rest in Italy:

III./TG 3

11 May 43: at Zaporozhye.

Jun – Jul 43: location and activity uncertain. Appears to have returned to Germany to rest, refit and re-equip based on the absence of Loss Report entries.
13 Jun 43: mentioned in connection with the delivery of oxygen cylinders at Naples-Capodichino and Pisa.
31 Jul 43: Ju 52 crash landed at Fp. Istres in South France, 50%.

3 Aug 43: Ju 52 force landed near Draguignan/63 km NNE of Toulon, 95%.

31 Aug 43: Ju 52 (4V+GW) crashed and burned near Smolensk, 100%, 4 MIA.

Re: Lw. Transport units in Russia summer 1943

Thanks Larry. As I understand the Transportflieger units in Russia in summer 1943 were (based on loss reports) I. and II./T.G. 3 and II./T.G. 4 and therefore Logbook Spies was a bit of surprise to me.

regards,
Pawel

Here is the section of the pilot's Soldbuch that shows his unit for that period.
