Kingaby: according to Shores et. al. Aces High (1994) 8 1/6 conf 2 prob 6 dam while flying Mk I. Vol 2 doesn't change the numbers. Juha |

thanks for the info. Kingaby switched to the Spitfire V afterwards which renders Eric Lock the top Spitfire I ace. Can you tell me if any American pilots ever scored more Spitifre kills than Lance Wade's 10 ? Have a nice evening, Michael |

Good evening Juha,
Wade served in the RAF. In fact he's the most successful American ace to fly in a foreign service. He had 13 Hurricane kills and 10 Spitfire kills. Kind regards, Michael |

...the top US Spitfire ace is John Lynch with 13 kills in that type.
