Trying to find serial number of P-51 Mustang-325th FG- flown by Frank M. Bolek?

1st Lt. Frank M. Bolek was flying his P-51 on April 19th 1945, Fuselage number #20, when he encountered and shot down an Me-109 over the South end of Lake Garda in Northern Italy.

A member of the 317th FS of the 325th FG, he was stationed with them between 1944 and 1945.

The ASN number I have is 0-722214

The plane he was flying was not his normally assigned plane, as this was #25, which was either lost before or after this victory.

If at-all posible, I am trying to find the serial numbers of the two planes he flew, the one on the 19th of April #20, and his usual #25.

I apologise for the lack of detail, but this is all I have on the pilot.

Is this enough information to track down his aircraft serial number?

Yours hopefully, MP.

Hello,
I'm writing on behalf of my father, Frank M. Bolek. He was part of the Checkertail Clan 325th FG/317 FS over in Italy. Plane #25. He lives in Palm Harbor, FL (Clearwater/St Pete). We are excited to hear about this movie. Please let me know if I can get him in contact with other Checkertail pilots.
Thank you,
G Bolek

Kind regards
Ross

Hello MP,
Not much help but these were some of those numbered as "20" and "25".

"20"
42-103434 - MIA 10th April 45.
44-13271 - MIA 26th July 44.
44-15???
"25"
43-24869 "Moms Boy" assigned to Eugene H. Emmons.
44-13458 "Moms Boy" and "Day In Day Out" MIA 5th Feb 45.

Alex

Hi, yes I have spoken with Gayle and Frank, but Frank cannot remember the serial number of his plane, hence the search for it!

Hopefully you guys may come good!

Cheers, MP.
