Can someone help me? I am after any info. on Blenheim losses suffered on 13 August 1940 in the vacinity of Aalborg at the hands of 5./JG 77. Specifically what squadron/s, crew listings, crew fates, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

I suggest you get hold of Chorley's Bomber Command Losses Vol 1 and I know that there is additional information in Graham Warner's book on the Bristol Blenheim

Blenheim losses Aalborg

Adam
On the 13th August 1940 Robert Menge of 5./JG 77 shot down 4 Blenheim’s in the Aalborg area.
Entries 14, 15, 16, 17 on the following website gives details
www.luftwaffe.cz/menge.html

This website http://lostbombers.co.uk/ lists 11 Blenheim’s from 82 Squadron in the Aalborg area shot down on that day.

Menge is the only one I can find from 5./JG 77 with actual claims

Kind regards

.

Re: Blenheim losses

Adam,
A very nice book (in Danish) has just been published on the attack listing a number of facts, crew stories etc. Please let me know, what you are looking for that has not already been menioned above, and I'll se, if it provides further details.
