Re: eBay: Allied intrest

Re. Hurricane P2727.

I have the AIR 81/763 personnel casualty file for Sgt. Dermot Flynn, lost on 2 June 1940. There is almost nothing in it about the circumstances of his loss, except for his POW Questionnaire of May 1945 but even this has almost no detail.
Under the line "Did you bale out, crash, force-land, ditch or get blown out ?" he wrote 'Crash land'. For the location he gave 'near Calais' and that he was made a prisoner the same day. He also wrote 'Hurricane Z' for his aircraft, but this is probably an understandable mistake after five years !

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Martin.

Re: eBay: Allied intrest

That was interesting

I suppose you are still talking about P2727 and not P2737?
Are your photos of the crash landed aircraft or is it still intact?

Cheers
Stig

I refer to following....

The pics I have are of an aircraft that had "crash landed" location was "near Calais" ( a bit bent wheels up ), the aircraft was letter Z serial P2737..Strange coincidence when I have time I will investigate for my own satisfaction.
Cheers
