Whats the story concerning this 412 Sqn Spitfire Follow up
Hello,
As a follow up to the story on VZ-G, BL964. I looked at the 24th March 1942 412 Sqn Spitfires. The following leaves some gaps, can they be filled please ? 19 Sqn - Mills - AD551 - evaded. 19 Sqn - Netocil - AD307 - POW/W - Czech. 411 Sqn - Sills - W3215 - KIA - Damaged, presumed ditched. 411 Sqn - Ash - AB281 - POW - S/d Comines by Fw190. 411 Sqn - Gridley - AB268 - KIA - S/d Comines by Fw190. 411 Sqn - Taylor - AB183 - W - RTD a/c scraped 27/10/1949. 412 Sqn - Morrison - BL471 - KIA - Claimed by Oblt. Múncheberg of JG26. 412 Sqn - Young - ????? - POW - Claimed by Oblt. Múncheberg of JG26. 66 Sqn - Cremin, DFC - AB462 - KIA - Collision with AB496, Cornwall. 66 Sqn - Norman,(RAAF) - AB496 - KIA - Collision with AB462, Cornwall. 121 Sqn - Skinner - BL963 - RTD - Out of fuel bellylanded on return at Upper farm, Sutton, Kent. DBR. 412 Sqn - Smith, (RCAF) - W3900 - KIA - 24-April-1942 not March. 64 Sqn - ????? - P8743 - ??? - Bellylanded Southend . What was the serial number of Young's a/c and who were and what was the fate of the other three pilots please ? Updates in "red".
