Catawiki:German helmet 1935 modified for the crews of bombers of the Battle of Britain.

https://veiling.catawiki.nl/kavels/8...tle-of-britain

"German helmet from the German Third Reich period. Rare modification of the 1935 combat model for use during the Battle of Britain by the crews of bombers, with front emblem of the Kampfgeschawder 53 created the 1 of May 1939 in Ansbach. Used in the Dornier DO17, Heinkel He111 and Junkers JU88. In its interior winter flight cap with headphones. This helmet comes from the collection of Dr. Scilla auctioned in 2102 and appears in numerous publications of German helmets from the 70s and 80s since Dr. Scilla was a world reference and collaborator with texts or photographs for the majority of the books specialising in helmets from the period. Certificate of authenticity and photograph of the catalogue of the collection attached. Probably the only piece of this type preserved in the world.

Re: Catawiki:German helmet 1935 modified for the crews of bombers of the Battle of Britain.

Hello,

I just joined this forum BECAUSE I saw this post about this helmet; it is wonderful! Is it for sale? Can you please tell me the shell size of the helmet? Also, is there a way I can communicate with you privately via email so I can get some additional pictures? If it is still available for sale, I would like to discuss/ arrange a possible purchase! My name is William; I am from the U.S. (Texas to be exact). I would appreciate a reply as soon as you are able. Thank you!
