Re: Youtube video help
This may be two films edited together. Notice the trees close to the bldgs/aircraft in the video up to the 2:05 mark, after that (based on the topography) everything after the 2:06 mark looks like San Diego.
I have some pictures of this Zero dated Sept. 26, 1942 in San Diego being test flown by Lt. Cmdr. E.R. Sanders who was assigned to the Flight Test Section of Anacostia, D.C. and some other pictures dated May 16, 1943 when it was at National Airport, Wash. D.C.. |

Re: Youtube video help
I only saw brief snippets that might have been shot at NAS Anacostia - yes, I've been there - almost all of what I saw was definitely NAS North Island - yes, I've been there, too. Anacostia is really a very small place. Vast expanses, especially with mountains in the background, you would never see at Anacostia, but are typical of the area around North Island.
Have you ever seen Jim Reardon's Cracking the Zero Mystery (1990) or its reprint Koga's Zero (1995)? |

For Mr. Leonard
Have you ever seen Jim Reardon's Cracking the Zero Mystery (1990) or its reprint Koga's Zero (1995)?[/quote] Thanks to Mr. Leonard, and yes, I have a copy of the book "Koga's Zero", a great volume, I just have difficulty translating it, often, and I use it Google translate, that sometimes it is difficult to understand the meaning of sentences. Thanks for your kindness.Massimiliano. For Mr. Revi16 "I have some pictures of this Zero dated Sept. 26, 1942 in San Diego being test flown by Lt. Cmdr. E.R. Sanders " Thanks for the info!on the Internet I have found some photographs of zero at san diego, is it perhaps one of the ones she refers to? |
