Dear Rabe,
I have to agree with Leo and all of his points making this aircraft belonging to -8 version - hence his for sure is not an early bird (A-4 or earlier). MG131 is clearly seen with it's distinctive bulged shape and there is obviously an extension there seen in front of the wing roots, plus the -8 position of pitot. If I am correct that A-7 entered production from November 43 and A-8 from February 44 (F-8 about month later) then this photo could not have been taken before the end of winter 1943/44 (early spring). BTW guys is there any database linking W.Nr.s with the STKZs? We should make some open source database for all Fw 190s My 2 cents. |
