kills of A-26 pilots
Hi all,
does anybody know names of pilots whose claimed a kill when flew on A-26 Invader? Thanks Tomas |

Hello Tom.
Not a lot of details available on A-26 pilots claiming kills. There is some specific mention of air combat by A-26s noted in the following references, together with some very general comments on Luftwaffe fighter attacks driven off by A-26 gunner-directed return fire. Osprey Combat Aircraft 82 – A-26 Invader Units of WW2 19-Feb-1945 Maj Myron Durkee – 386 BG – Me262 probable SSP-1037 – Douglas A-26 Invader in Action 9-March-1945 – during raid on Wersbaden marshalling yards, 30 Bf109s attack a similar number of 38 BG A-26s. 3x A-26s lost against 8x unconfirmed kills (no official credit awarded).
