You'd probably be better off asking that here: https://www.ancestry.de

Re: Horst Ademeit

Thank you very much for your answers. What is a PERS-6 file and where could I find it?

Re: Horst Ademeit

A PERS-6 file is an individual's Luftwaffenpersonalamt file. Those which survive are held at the BA-MA Freiburg. I've consulted the database and one definitely exists for Ademieit.

Re: Horst Ademeit

Dear Steve,
Thank you very much for your answer. It's great that there is a PERS-6 file for Horst Ademeit. I wonder if there are also such files for Friedrich Rupp (whom I love sooo much!), Siegfried von Matuschka, and maybe Friedrich von Uiberacker and Horst Hannig...

Re: Horst Ademeit

I wonder how you consult it. I have searched the database and there is apparently nothing about Horst Ademeit http://www.bundesarchiv.de/SiteGloba...=Horst+Ademeit

Re: Horst Ademeit

Just a strange association: As a member of the student association Korps Masovia, Horst Ademeit was called a 'Masure': https://deacademic.com/dic.nsf/dewiki/627901.
In Poland, there is a traditional Easter cake called 'mazurek' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazurek_(cake)
It has made me think that Horst might be described as a cake in the sense that he was so sweet... By the way, in Polish, if you call a man 'ciacho' (literally: a great cake), it means that he is very handsome and attractive, like 'a great bod' in English. I wonder how Horst would react to such a compliment...

I've sent you a guide written purely from my perspective as to how to get the best results out of BASYS-Invenio which I am also attaching here should anyone else want it.
