Does anyone recognize this Oblt? He was with Assi Hahn and Erich Leie when this was taken. Face is familiar......

Not Greisert-he was an Hptm by the time this was taken and Greisert is older. The photos I have of Greisert would support this

Col

He didn't come to JG 2 until the end of 1944 by which time Hahn was a POW (1943) and Leie was with JG 77

Re: JG 2 Pilot

Chris,

My original choice was Oblt Josef Puchinger, Stab III./JG 2, any better?

Re: JG 2 Pilot

Chris,

I have approximately 500 photographs copied from Hahn's own albums when I used to visit Gisela Hahn.

Are you able to show the complete photograph to give me a chance of identifying it, saving me having to trawl through 3 albums of photos.

They were copied in about 2001 with a 35mm camera and copy stand, took me 3 days and nearly did me in, I'm sure I annotated them as best I could at the time.

David

Re: JG 2 Pilot

I confirm at 100% : Oblt. Josef Puchinger
and in the background I recognize the windows of the hut in Saint Pol / Brias
