Matti
Thanks for that.

Brian
Problem is that Radtke clearly states the loss of 8643 was on the 3rd (page 370 in his book) The problem with Radtke is that on page 336 he lists one individual onboard 8643 (Alois Rasper) as being wounded on the 2nd. Matti's source (NVM) is in agreement that the loss was on the 3rd.
Unfortunately is does not help in quoting Radtke when this loss occured, and unless you have other evidence I intend to go along what Matti has confirmed.

Cheers
Stig

Hello there,
Some years ago I found the loss records for 1/NJG 2 for July 1944 which contained a particular aircraft that I was interested in. Now that I need the information again I can't find the document in my records. The JU88 was based in Chateaudun and piloted by Ltn Huchler. Could you confirm ? Thanks for your help

Hello,

Saint Loup-Lamairé (place of the crash) is located in the French Département (Region) named "Deux Sèvres", at about 15 km SE of Bressuire.

Bonjour Pierre, je le sais bien, nous en avions assez 'parlé', même si ça remonte à quelques années ;-) Ian
