Bordfunker Werner Gerber
Hi guys
On 27 September 1943 the Bf 110 G-4 (W.Nr. 5355) flown by Hauptmann Günther Friedrich (4 victories) and his crew Bordfunker Werner Gerber and Bordschütze Obergefreiter Kurt Weisske of the Geschwaderstab of NJG 1 collided with another night-fighter over Heese, northwest of Celle, resulting in the loss of both crews. Would anyone be able to identify the rank of Werner Gerber at the time? Many thanks. Horrido! Leo

Hello Melvin
Many thanks for your taking the time to answer my question. I have read that this may have been the aircraft and crew that collided with the aircraft flown by Major Hans-Deiter Frank (54 victories, RK-EL) and his Bordfunker Feldwebel Erich Gotter so it was most interesting to finally have the rank of this fellow.
