P47 La Fayette - mission over Italy

Good evening to everybody.

I'm looking for information about 3 mission over north-west of italy made by 4eme Escadre de Chasse. I'm sure that were made by P47, probably of the La Fayette group.

Mission 1: 24 june 1944, target Ovada
Mission 2: 26 june 1944, target Ovada
Mission 3: 24 june 1944, target Acqui Terme

Anyone know some details of the missions?

I have only info for escadrille Lafayette

24/06/1944

I have an attack of the railway bridge of Ovada by 4 P47 of Escadrille Lafayette (n°1) of GC 2/5 "Lafayette"

cne Thierry on P47 n°11
Sc Tanguy on P47 n°20
lt Manfroy on P47 n°39
sgc Lesieur on P47 n°21

On same day attack on the bridge of Tortora

26/06/1944

Any attacks over Ovada but two attacks over bridge of Alexandria.

For the 24/06 mission...have you got any hours. Ovada was hit 2 times this day: 1 at 10:30 (i have no more info about it) and at 18:00 (11 P 47 of 4eme escadre de chasse).
The 4 P47 that you said could hit Ovada during the 10:30 mission?

Have you got any other information?

Om 24/06/1944 Ovada was hit 2 times: one at 10:30 and another at 17:30.
For the second mission there were 11 P47..Your 4 P47 could be for the first mission?

Sorry, i made a mistake! the 3° mission on Acqui Terme was the 5 of september 1944, any news about it?

I am not able to tell if it is first or second attack of GC 2/5 "Lafayette"over the bridge of Ovada. May be one the two attacks did by another unit of French P-47.

For 5/9/1944

Three P-47 of escadrille Lafayette for an armed reco Genes/Turin/Impéria and four for a sweep on Milan area. Any attack over Ovada.

Thank you very much. I find some other information about the 5/9/1944 mission. The P47 of 4eme escadre de chasse were 8. Could be from other unit!?

How many airplane made an unit like the GC 2/5?
Where did you find your information about the GC2/5? where i can find information about other unit?

- GC 1/4 Navarre armed recco Genes/Turin/Imperia
- 8 P47 of GC 2/3 "Dauphiné" in the area of Verone
- P47 of GC "Lafayette" (see over)
- P47 of GC 2/3 "Dauphine" over Po river close to Piacenza
