MBR-2 Black Sea Fleet lost July 1941

Hi guys

I recently read that two MBR-2s of 82nd Separate Squadron of the Black Sea Fleet were lost to 'friendly' ships' fire in July 1941. Has anyone additional information, please?

Cheers
Brian

Brain,
I read in an interview on www.airforce.ru that it was only one that was shot down out of two by a patrol boat. They had intentions of going to the patrol boat to beat up the gunners and throw them over board according to the interview.

If you could tell me the day this friendly fire incident happened, then I could look it up in my book manuscript.

Hi Denes

Unfortunately, I don't have a date for either incident (it seems there were two lost to ship's fire but not necessarily both in July 1941).

I have the first volume of your EXCELLENT book - when does Volume 2 appear?

Best
Brian
