A Nice part

A hood from a SIPA (french trainer of the 50's), found in a hangar.

= Arado 396, if I am not mistaken ?

Cheers;
GC

Re: A Nice part

Hello Gilles

Probably from a Sipa 10 or 11, the hood was different from Sipa 12....
Really, a very very nice part !

Merci !

Eric

Re: A Nice part

Hi Gilles,

You turn up some very interesting items - thanks for sharing. Seeing that caused me to do a bit of research on this little-known, little-remembered (and frankly, unglamourous - actually all airplanes are lovely) Arado/Arado-derived design.

Best wishes,
Steve

Re: A Nice part

and I hope - one day- to be able to get the airframe (or what is left of it) out of the bush where it was thrown 40years ago.

the problem is that the bush is very very dense!
