Airspeed Oxford HM420 or NM420

Has anybody details on the loss of these aircraft please. I have come across a photo of a crashed Oxford in a field near some hangars. The code is either HM or NM ( hard to tell from the photo ) 420 , unfortunately both codes were used on Oxfords. May have been 14 P AFU at either Ossington or Gamston. A/C also has 45 painted on the side.

Also as a side bar to this , which photo sites are people now using for 3rd party hosting since Photobucket went a bit loopy. I'll post pic when I get a new photo hosting site.

Noggin

From Air Britain's 'The Oxford, Consul and Envoy File', page 183:

NM420 16 PFTS [45] 26.1.44 - engine cut, undershot landing at Newton and hit building, 16.3.45

Regards

Simon

P.S. I've started using Flickr in place of Photobucket as I already had an account, but others may have other, better suggestions.

A couple of possible connections:

Two Polish airmen who were killed that day had their deaths registered at Bingham, which would be right for R.A.F. Newton:

Re: Airspeed Oxford HM420 or NM420

Thanks again , checked the CWGC and got Cpt Stanislaw Sadowski
Cpl Waclaw Dabrowski
Lt Mieczyslaw Krwawicz died and buried at Newark that day , can count Dabrowski out as he was registered at Scunthorpe.

Re: Airspeed Oxford HM420 or NM420

Thank you Alex , just checked the GRO again Krwawicz died in the second quater of 1945. Survived the Harvard crash and must have been killed in the Newton area later.
