Beauvais/Tille Luftwaffe base temporary war cemetery
Below is a link to a remarkable excercise in rescue/forensic archaeology. There are details here -such as burials of what must be bomber crew wearing flight gear and with perimortem trauma which i just did not expect. A very unvarnished view of the 1940-42 air war and what happened to the aircrew who were fatally injured, and whose bodies were not removed from temporry burial sites at the end of the War.

Re: Beauvais/Tille Luftwaffe base temporary war cemetery
A lot of Russian soldiers received temporary burials in the field. Some were not recovered later.
