Ludwig Fiel Walter Field black7 oct40 which is correct ?
Hi,
I have :- Luftwaffe Crash Archive Volume 5 28th September 1940 to 27th October p547 Me109E4 8JG53 Black7+I Uffz Ludwig Fiel on display in London and a colour profile with red spinner, white cap, segmented white backplate, yellow engine cowlings and rudder heavy dense mottle in area of code. Luftwaffe Gallery Photos and Profiles No1 Eric Mombeek p3 2 Oct 40 East Peckham, details camo as above. Black 7+I but this is captioned Oblt Walter Field. Both look the same to me ! Two totally different pilots ? same looking aircraft ? Puzzled ! BOBC
