Looking for photos of the Me109 K Flettener Tab on the Aileron

Does anyone have any photos?

I know some of the very late model Me109 G-10's had them...as well as some of the K-4's.

Anyone have good photos of one?

TIA

Mike

Re: Looking for photos of the Me109 K Flettener Tab on the Aileron

Hello Mike,

here you go:

The colored photo is from an aileron found after the war in the Czech Republik. The other one was seen in May 1945 in its crate at Prague-Letnany. It shows the unpainted undersurface of wings which were fitted to aircraft from the DIANA production-line near Tisnov/Slovakia.

Cheers

Carl

Re: Looking for photos of the Me109 K Flettener Tab on the Aileron

Hi Carl and Mike,

Thanks for my enlightenment;-))

I just checked pics in my sets with no luck:

- for MTT built Bf 109 G-10 (28 pics): none.
- for Erla built Bf 109 G-10 (149 pics): none.
- for WNF built Bf 109 G-10 (134 pics): none.

- for Mtt built Bf 109 K-4 (247 pics): none.

Of all the pics mentioned, only around 30 of them do show the ailerons to some extent…and with no flettner…

Sorry
Marc
