HElp with reading back of photo?

Hi,

I have a photo of a flier killed over Stalingrad (exact place name I cannot read) called Fritz but cannot decipher surname and date 30.12.41.

Can I send this to someone who might be able to read the information better than I can?

Thanks guys

Rick

Re: HElp with reading back of photo?

Rick,

I don't know if this would help, but have you considered posting the images to

https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/

and then linking to your post here on TOCH?

Regards,

Clint

Re: HElp with reading back of photo?

This image was taken in Krim (Krimea) on the 30th December 1941, as far as my memory do remember, by the tail of a Ju 52.
The airman was later killed, according to the seller, and the information on the back of the same image, at Stalingrad.
Do you see a werknummer by the tail of your image? It maybe be the clue to the crew's fate....(maybe).
Second option would be to narrow down all the "Fritz" that flew for the Luftwaffe and were killed during the Stalingrad airlift.
I was keeping an eye on that image but maybe for a long time....Glad you got it.

There is a problem with WNr 3345. It has also been quoted as captured by the British and
becoming VM925 postwar.

Both data cannot be correct!

Cheers
Stig
