Unknown Axis unit

Guys:

I was re=reading Med Air War vol. 4 by Shores and co. I ran across an encounter on December 4, 1943 where a Ju87 was shot down near the Podgorica airfield; the entry reported that the Ju87 belonged to unit I never heard of before, LKS.

What what is this "LKS" ?

Thanks ahead of time.

NM

Re: Unknown Axis unit

I’ve seen it used fror Luftkriegsschule (air warfare school) but I’m not sure that would fit in this case. My first thought for a Ju 87 over Yugoslavia would be 13./SG 151 but maybe Lovro Persen’s Guerrilla Nightmare would help: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Guerrilla-N...s=books&sr=1-1

Re: Unknown Axis unit

On 04.12.1943 Ju 87 D-1 2244 was shot down by fighters and made an emergency landing 7 km NW of Podgorica. A/c was from 13./SG 151.

Re: Unknown Axis unit

May be this one:
Uffz Robe Siegfried, FF, slightly wounded
OGefr. Rösler Willi, BF, heavily wounded
13./SG 151, Ju87 D-1, Werknummer 2244, Luftkampf and Flak, emergency landing 7 km NW of Podgorica.

Re: Unknown Axis unit

Thank you to all who posted; and truth be told I thought SG151 was a training unit so maybe airwar training school makes sense.
