Re: Wellington crashed Wilhelmshaven

I have R1608 as crashed in Lake Dobersdorf near Kiel at 02.25 hrs on 25th June 1941, but have not been able to find a matching German (Flak) claim. Do you perhaps? Cheers, Theo

Re: Wellington crashed Wilhelmshaven

Hello,
I overlooked R1802 in my earlier post.
So -

R1802
311 Sqdn
"KX - P"
SOS at 2053 hrs after which further messages received indicated the a/c was loseing height and speed.
The last signal intercepted reported a sea landing was imminent and its position was given as 5317N, 0307E.
Despite a search no trace of a/c or crew was found.
