8./JG54 November 1942

All, a couple of questions:

1. Where was the unit based on 27th November 1942?

2. Does anyone have information on the sorties undertaken by 8./JG 54 on that particular day?

TIA
Dave

Re: 8./JG54 November 1942

Hi Michel,

the Bf 109 G-2 of Uffz Arthur Stern was damaged 10% on 27 Nov 1942, the WNr. was 14232 according to the NVM (quoted in JFV Vol. 9/III).
The Bf 109 G-2 WNr. 13915 of 5./JG 52 crashed after take-off on 12 Feb 1943, damaged 75% (listed in GenQu. loss return of 4 March 1943 item 58).

Regards
Leo

Yes, 14232 was certainly not 100%, it was repaired and returned to service operating out of Luostari, with JG5 I presume.
