Overrun Luftwaffe planes, Germany 1945
Dear all,
I just stumbled on a few pictures, mainly taken at Neubiberg between May and June 1945 by Gerald Hall, 157th Infantry Regiment. The first one shows a shot down Bf 109 G in France: http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...ane_France.jpg The others are self explaining. I remember having seen this one last year on an E-bay auction (Thanks Ed, as usual!): http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga..._up_ME_109.jpg if I remember well, it is a Hungarian Bf 109 G-10/U4 from the 101 Vadaszszasad. Here are the others: http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...all/FW_190.jpg Note the odd markings on this Fw 190: SP+SO and "10" http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...Jet_ME_262.jpg A Bf 109 G or K stands to the left of the Me 262. http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...ulf_FW_190.jpg Looks like a Fw 190 A-9, ??+JA http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga..._the_Blitz.jpg An Arado 234, between a Bf 110, a Siebel 204 and a Ju 88 G At least one of those two other Fw 190 shots was also taken at Neubiberg, and not as said along the Autobahn: SP+SO "10" is the same machine which was photographed by Gerald Hall. Those two pics were taken by Lewis Long, C Battery, 171st Field Artillery Battalion http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga.../Lew_plane.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...Lew_plane2.jpg This picture, taken by Edwin Gorak, B Battery, 158th Fa Bn, shows the charred remains of a Ju 88 G, taken in April 1945 http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...crashPlane.htm Those other pics were taken by memebrs of the 645th Tank Destroyer Battalion along the Autobahn. This Me 262 delocalized plant was already discussed, quite recently. http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga..._wood_ramp.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...ME262_side.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...62_Hood_up.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...2_in_woods.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...y/kt_me262.jpg actually an Ar 66. http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...262_tipped.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...d_up_other.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...ME262_haze.jpg http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Ga...262_2lanes.jpg Have a great Sunday Cheers Marc |
