Sorry, I can't give you anything on Romm but could you advise the unit that this A-20 was from doing this reconnaissance flight.

Good day!
I badly know English language. You can look a photo and read a little here if you know Russian:

I cannot precisely tell that Romm has brought down this Boston, therefore details from archive of Germany are necessary to me. But many facts confirm that it was made by Romm. This Boston belonged to 454 bombing aviation regiment. In it to a regiment they carried out of the task for investigation. It is exact. I know about it from archive TSAMO-ЦАМО (the central archive of the Ministry of Defence) in Podolsk.

The action must have taken place after transfer of I./J.G. 51 to Bolshaja Rudka a/f. According to the information on your site the crash site was at the southern outskirts of Parchomowka. I have no idea what 'Stalina' (Romm's claim) could be, certainly not Stalino. Maybe - that's just a thought - some swch. or klch. near Parchomowka. Unfortunately I do not have wartime map of Parchomowka area precise enough. But it was only one claim for Boston on 14-Aug-1943 and the altitude of 6000 m confirms that it was a recon machine.

kind regards,
Pawel

Thanks Pawel!

German sources are necessary to me: Oscar Romm's official report. Where it is possible to address? Where to find? How to receive? I should be convinced that it is Romm's work. How it occurred? I have not found the information in Russia while.

Кind regards,
Tatiana

Yes, «Boston А-20Б» 454 aviaregiment's reconnoitred for Poltava. JG51 at this time was based in Poltava. 454 regiment was based on August, 14th, 1943 on airdrome in area Rakitnoe. They quite could meet in area Parhomovka.

Where, in what archival funds of Germany and in what file number Oscar Romm's official report (абшуссмельдунг) can contain?

Help me, please!

Кind regards,
Tatiana
