Re: Photos 3-31
Glad you're back Ed!
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=180101200576 This pic has FW-190 written on the back of it. The top pic looks like it's a Henschel Hs-123, notice the cowl bumps. The bottom pic may be of a totally different wreck (190)? Regards, Mike |

Re: Photos 3-31
Hi,
I also think that this is a Hs 123 from 6(Schl)/LG2 yellow "D" with staffel emblem. Regards Robert |

Re: Photos 3-31
Thanks for posting Eddie! Your postings are the highlight of the day when occurring!
This one.. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=200094488433 ....is not an F but a G. Probably a G-2. From JG 54 loss list I only find G-2s lost by 5. Staffel in 1943.No G-4 or G-5. A picture of what I believe is the very same 109 is found on p.96 in Jerry Scutts' book "JG 54, Aces of the Eastern Front". Again captioned as an F, but also as belonging to III Gruppe. Both informations are apparently wrong in the book! (Photo in book from Creek) |
